For the next Citizens’ Academy session, join us at the Williamstown Fire Department’s brand-new firehouse for a special behind-the-scenes look at the space and the vital services the department provides. Hosted by Chief Jeffrey J. Dias, this session will offer insight into how the new facility enhances emergency response, supports firefighters, and serves the community.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the design and features of the new station, how the department operates day-to-day, and what it takes to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies. This is also a great chance to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of fire safety, prevention, and community preparedness.
They will discuss:
- The design, features, and capabilities of the new firehouse
- Daily operations and emergency response procedures
- Fire prevention, safety, and community outreach efforts
- And any related topics the audience would like to explore!
All are welcome - there is no registration required for this event.
The Citizens’ Academy offers community members a closer look at how local government works. Each session features a guest speaker who shares an overview of their department, what they do day to day, and how their work serves the community - along with time for questions and conversation.
This series is co-hosted by the Milne Public Library and the Williamstown League of Women Voters.
